Purchase of text and note books
The prescribed text-books and note-books for classes PRE L.K.G to 10th and only note-books for classes 11th to 12th should be purchased from the school book depot,note books bearing the school emblem and name should only be used.
All books and note-books issued in school are obtainable from or through the school at market rates. But all transactions are strictly in cash.
All the text books and note-books prescribed for the various classes will be sold only as a complete set (books and note-books) and not as note-books or text books alone.
Maintenance and Correction
Students are expected to use only ink pen from class 4th onwards. The school insists on using fountain pen and not ball-point pen. Only royal blue, or blue-black ink is permissible(black ink is not permitted). Students should posses the prescribed text books and note books of their own. Lending/borrowing will not be allowed. The text books and note books should be maintained properly and the same should be brought to the class for the concerned periods. Students without the same will not be permitted to attend the classes. Marks will be allotted for the text books & note books maintenance and it will be included with the Terminal examination marks. The class works and home-work should be completed then and there. The same should be got corrected by the concerned teachers. In case of absentees, the notes during the days of absence should be first completed before they get to the current work.
Attendance
Absentees without obtaining leave previously will be dealt seriously. If absence is unavoidable on account of illness or any other reason a letter of explanation must invariably and immediately be sent to the principal/brought at least on returning to school. In case of continuous absence for ten days without information, the absentees name shall be struck off from the roll. If re-admitted he/she has to pay the re-admission fee of Rs.100/-. Absentees on the first day of every term and after any long holidays will have to pay a fine of Rs.5/- for that day and Re.1/- for each subsequent day of absence. *75% of attendance is compulsory for promotion to the next class.
Examination (System of Evaluation)
THE STUDENTS PERFORMANCE IN ALL SUBJECTS is evaluated throughout the year. L.K.G. to 5th class-follow the system of conducting monthly examination - MONTHLY TEST as practically called, in the fourth week of every month. The portions for the monthly test will cover only the portion completed by that month. Classes V1-12th follows the system of conducting "MIDTERM" examination during the mid-period i.e., July, November and February. The portions for Mid -TERM examination will cover the portions completed during that term. However classes L.K.G to XII will sit for the terminal examination in the last week of every term. The portions for the concerned month will be intimated to the parents through the Hand-book by the class teacher for class LKG to class III. From class IV to class XII the students are expected to note down the portions in their hand-book. Students absent from the examination (monthly test / Mid-term / terminal examination) without valid reason will be marked absent and will be considered as having failed and will not be re-examined. No text book, note book or other papers are to be brought into the examination hall. Students found copying or using unfair means during the examinations will be dismissed from the school.
TO STUDENTS
-
Damage done to buildings, furniture, library books, sports goods, etc. must be paid for at the discretion of the principal.
- Pupils are advised not to bring any valuable articles to the school. The school will not be responsible for the loss of pupil's belongings.
- Pupils are responsible for their own books, fountain pens, vehicles, cycles, Tiffin carriers, gold ornaments and any other articles. While every effort is made by the school to reduce the loss of such articles, the ultimate responsibility rests with the children themselves neither the parents nor the students can blame the management for the loss of anything.
- Students suffering from contagious / infectious diseases will not be permitted to attend the school.
- Private tuition will be allowed in the school if it is necessary.
- The permission of principal is necessary for arranging private tuition with the teacher of the school outside the school campus.
- Any serious breach of discipline and above all disrespect and disobedience to the member of the school staff inside or outside the school premises will be treated seriously.
- Pupils are not allowed to give presents to teachers.
- Regular late-coming, frequent absence, negligence in wearing uniforms, carelessness in wearing uniforms, carelessness in studies will be treated seriously.
- Promotion is entirely dependent on his /her attendance and performance in each and every monthly test, mid-term and terminal examination.
- Every student should bring the hand-book to the school regularly.
- Students are instructed to be clean and tidy in their dress books and all their belongings.
- No book (other than library books and class books) newspapers or periodical should be brought to school without the consent of the school authorities.
- Pupils are expected to take part in all the extra curricular activities of the school and no one will be exempted except for valid reasons.
- No student will be exempted from physical exercises and games without medical certificate.
- All the students should converse only in English in the school premises to acquire greater skill in the use of the language.
- The boys should come to school with their hair properly cut. No boy with long hair will be allowed to attend the class.
- Pupils, who bring lunch to school, should bring with them napkins/hand towels /table mats and should use the same to avoid making the class room dirty.
- Though the school takes all care to supply clean drinking water it is advisable that the pupils carry clean drinking water bottles from house for self use.
To parents
- Parents are requested to look in to the handbook daily & sign everyday.
- Parents /guardians are requested to co-operate with the school in maintaining discipline, inculcating diligence, upright behaviour and courtesy.
- Parents who seek information regarding their child's progress should do so through the head of the school and not the class teacher.
- Parents or guardians are allowed to see their children or meet the teachers during the school hours.
- Parents or guardians are not allowed to wait near the classroom or the verandah during the class hours.
- Parents are expected to co-operate in the work of the school by enforcing regularity, punctuality and discipline and by taking interest in their children's progress. They are specially requested to read the rules carefully and see that they are strictly followed.
- Parents are requested to sign the late attendance record, absence record and the notes to parents which are sent by the teachers to them through the hand book.
- Parents are advised not to encourage leave of absence for their ward to attend weddings (other than blood relatives) and other routine social or religious functions at home.
- Parents are asked to equip their ward appropriately with clothing/uniform requirements and other school required stationeries and accessories.
- Parents should ensure that their ward rejoins the school on scheduled -reopening dates.
- A record of the address of the parents /guardian is maintained in the school office. Any change of address should be communicated without delay.
- Parents are expected to meet the correspondent /principal only during the working hours and particularly during the specified days and timings for interview.
- Fees once paid will not be refunded.
- Parents should themselves get satisfied with the curriculum followed and facilities available at the school. Once they admit their ward, it is understood that they are satisfied with the general rules and facilities available at the school.
- Rules and regulations and other norms mentioned in the prospectus are framed keeping in the mind the general requirements of the institution. It will not be altered at the request of any individual students, or parent or group of student/parents.
Note:
Every student is expected to join at least one or two activities compulsorily and necessary fees must be paid. This is essential for the overall development of the child
